January Wrap Up & Haul

Hey guys! The month of January is finally over… I don’t know about you but I feel like New Years was ages ago. Usually I can’t believe how fast time has gone by but nope, not this time. I think it’s because I’m really overdue on some time off from work so I’ll be taking some days in February. I’m very excited about having some time off to relax, read and do nothing. I’m counting down the days. But ringing in a new year is always fun and January has been kind. Continue reading

Review – Dirty by Kylie Scott

25671827Goodreads Description: The last thing Vaughan Hewson expects to find when he returns to his childhood home is a broken hearted bride in his shower, let alone the drama and chaos that comes with her.

Lydia Green doesn’t know whether to burn down the church or sit and cry in a corner. Discovering the love of your life is having an affair on your wedding day is bad enough. Finding out it’s with his best man is another thing all together. She narrowly escapes tying the knot and meets Vaughan only hours later.

Vaughan is the exact opposite of the picture perfect, respected businessman she thought she’d marry. This former musician-turned-bartender is rough around the edges and unsettled. But she already tried Mr. Right and discovered he’s all wrong-maybe it’s time to give Mr. Right Now a chance.

After all, what’s wrong with getting dirty? Continue reading

I feel like this might be the easiest (sadly) top ten prompt for me because looking back, I don’t think I read many 2016 releases. Which is a shame, I know. And I really don’t even know how this happened. One minute I’m super pumped to read it and the next it’s December 31st and the year is over. Then I wonder why I’m always behind and have to hide from spoilers… cue eye roll. Seriously Elissa, get it together. I admire people that keep up with releases, seriously you guys are super humans. So these are the books that I really hope to get to this year. Hopefully I can get them read early on in the year. We’ll see. Continue reading

Review – Neighbor Dearest by Penelope Ward

img_0431Goodreads Description: After getting dumped, the last thing I needed was to move next door to someone who reminded me of my ex-boyfriend, Elec. Damien was a hotter version of my ex. The neighbor I’d dubbed “Angry Artist” also had two massive dogs that kept me up with their barking. He wanted nothing to do with me. Or so I thought until one night I heard laughter coming through an apparent hole in my bedroom wall. Damien had been listening to all of my phone sessions with my therapist. The sexy artist next door now knew all of my deepest secrets and insecurities. We got to talking. He set me straight with tips to get over my breakup. He became a good friend, but Damien made it clear that he couldn’t be anything more. Problem was, I was falling hard for him anyway. And as much as he pushed me away, I knew he felt the same…because his heartbeat didn’t lie. I thought my heart had been broken by Elec, but it was alive and beating harder than ever for Damien. I just hoped he wouldn’t shatter it for good. Continue reading
