Searching Saturday – Resolution Fulfillers

Hey everyone and happy Saturday! I am back with another bookish meme! This will be my first Searching Saturday post 😊

Searching Saturday was created by Nikki @ The Night is Dark and Full of Books If you didn’t already know, the aim is to search a book (or multiple books) that is new to you and fits the weekly theme. This could be a new book to add to your TBR, or just to address on your blog. It’s up to you! You can search as many as you want.

This week’s topic is Resolution Fulfillers. We have to pick a book or books that fulfill our New Year’s resolution, whatever it may be.

Claire Randall, a former combat nurse, is just back from the war and reunited with her husband on a second honeymoon when she walks through a standing stone in one of the ancient circles that dot the British Isles. Suddenly she is a Sassenach—an “outlander”—in a Scotland torn by war and raiding border clans in the year of Our Lord…1743.

Hurled back in time by forces she cannot understand, Claire is catapulted into the intrigues of lairds and spies that may threaten her life, and shatter her heart. For here James Fraser, a gallant young Scots warrior, shows her a love so absolute that Claire becomes a woman torn between fidelity and desire—and between two vastly different men in two irreconcilable lives.

This year one of my bookish resolutions is to read more chunky books. Big books definitely intimidate me. I chose Outlander because I’ve had it for a while and it’s also a book that I really want to read but haven’t because it’s size has made me hesitant. It seems silly writing it but it’s true. I know this book is loved by many so I can’t wait to get to it this year.

Thats all for today I hope you guys are having a lovely weekend! Till next time!
